Prelude - Part 2 - A new Challenge Approaches
This year I knew I had to actually produce something, subject from University demanded such a thing, a game, something I had not managed to make yet, something I had given up on before, but this time, well, there was no way I could escape it.
But what could I do? There are so many things one can make, but the essential thing I knew was, It really had to be something one would feel pleasure in doing, completing and struggling with, no matter what, that motives one self to actually complete something you've set yourself to do, because you like, not just because you have to do it.
But what exactly to do now? There are so many genres, so many different things, and well, time is counting now, which one should I pick?
Beat Em Up? I had played many when I was little, I remember how challenging it was back then, with a limited amount of lives and knowledge of the mechanics, to try and get to the end, each enemy feeling different, having different behaviors.
Would involve a few things, but they all sounded fun to learn, varied enemy AI, something I knew nothing about, other systems, such as a combo system also seemed like a nice addition, game work flow, so I envisioned that one regular beat em up, one would stroll around, beat up some bad guys, feel awesome at the end!
